Looking for fossils in New Zealand
Finding, collecting, identifying and cataloging fossils is the basis for research in palaeontology. Amongst others, I was fortunate to gain experience in prospecting and excavating extinct dinosaurs in Argentina (Patagonia) and South-Africa. Most recently, I was looking for fossils in New Zealand together with Prof. Dr. Oliver Rauhut (Bavarian State Collection for Palaeontology and Geology in Munich, Germany) and his collaborator Dr. Alan Tennyson (Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa, Wellington). It was an amazing experience and the landscape of New Zealand is breath-taking.
